    What are the health benefits of Black Tea ?

    Black Teas are a rich source of antioxidants called 'Polyphenols'. These help in reducing cell damage and help in boosting overall immunity. The 'flavonoids' present in Black tea boost heart health by reducing bad cholesterol (LDL), triglyceride levels etc, reduce high blood pressure.     What are the different types of Black Teas available on Vahdam?

    We have a wide range of signature single-estate black tea blends, both Darjeeling Teas and Assam Teas , and ranging from first flush black teas, second flush black teas or muscatel balck teas, to autumnal teas as well. Along with this, we also have exclusive in-house variants like the Earl Grey Black Tea, English Breakfast Black Tea, Oakwodd smoked Black teas, Spiced Black Teas known as Chai Teas.

    Is Black Tea rich in antioxidants?

    Yes, Black Tea is the second-richest in beneficial antioxidants, after Green Tea. Read about Black Teas Vs Green Teas here. Teas from various elevations, flushes and gardens vary in their antioxidant capacity. Also, a special class of polyphenols (a type of antioxidants) called 'Theaflavins' in, that improve the functioning of blood vessels and also aid weight loss.

    What is the shelf life of products?

    This Vahdam Teas has a shelf-life of 2 years from the Date of Picking/Harvest. The 'Date of Expiry' are mentioned on the bottom of all our boxes.

    Where are your Teas from?

    We source our teas from over 150 renowned plantations and small individual farms in India. Within the country, we procure from 5 popular tea-producing regions, namely: Darjeeling, Assam, Nilgiri, Kangra, and Sikkim.

    How are the Teas packaged?

    After sourcing our teas directly from plantations within hours of harvest, we bring them to our state-of-the-art tea facility in New Delhi, India. The teas then go through rigorous rounds of cleaning, sorting, quality testing to remove any impurities/dust/foreign particles. Post 10+ quality checkpoints for leaf size, aroma, liquor, flavors etc. these are vacuum-packaged in opaque aluminum-lined bags using sophisticated machinery. These vacuum-bags are then stored in a dehumidified, temperature-controlled warehouse which ensures that the teas remain garden-fresh and maintain their character. Further, required quantities are packed in smaller vacuum-sealed packs which are boxed in the retail boxes and then sent over to our own delivery centers located in various parts of the world.

    Fantastic Earl Grey tea

    This is one of the best EG teas I think I've ever had. The leaf is bold and flavorful without being too strong and the bergamot is fresh and floral. I look forward to using these in some cookies or quick breads, too!
