We make a big pot every morning. Malty, mellow, and very smooth. 4 minutes is good, but if you forget to take the leaves out, it doesn't get bitter. We often put in a pinch of Vahdam's smokey assam. Sometimes more than a pinch. We love it strong (lots of tea leaves, not strong by long brew time) with milk. Better than "mighty leaves."
I love that the tea bag comes with so much, because this is a great, smooth, well-seasoned tea. I like to mix a little bit of other Vahdam teas in with it. It's been great for lattes and especially just as it is. I like to do a quick, hot steep. I like that it's not overly scented, but rather just has a nice, fresh taste.
English breakfast teas are not just one thing. Everyone has their perfect cuppa in memory and then goes searching for that. One of Vahdam's more affordable teas, this does the job for me. It's rich, malty, not too coppery, with hints of fig and grass. The bouquet is alluring. The only thing missing to my mind is a bit of smokiness. But that is a quibble. This is now a staple for me.
I have been buying Vahdam teas for several years now. Just enjoy them so much I stopped buying other brands of loose teas. Consistent quality and very unique flavor profiles. Just a great over all breakfast tea
This is my go-to tea most mornings. I brew it strong, but it is smooth, well-balanced and delicious. I drink with milk and sugar most days, but sometimes I just like to savor the tea alone. I look forward to this cup of tea!
